We had a great time in Barcelona thanks to the Hop on Hop off Tour. It allowed us to discover the city and later select the places we wanted to visit most. We took a two day tour and we will recomend it to everyone visiting the city for the first time or even if you go back, we will use it again.

Great that you can stop and go when and where you want. You also get different view of things from top of bus. Had 2 day ticket and used it to the full going back on the bus in the evening to view things in a different light...Brilliant

Best way to see the city! Great value for the price & the routes provided quick access to all of the hot spots we wanted to see. Be sure to map out your activities with siesta and closing times in mind. The busses run so frequently you have virtually no down time standing around waiting. The audio provides great information, however the earbuds are standard and a bit uncomfortable - consider bringing and using your own set along for comfort. Just wish it ran later in the evening - but if you plan it right and conserve your energy, walking back to your hotel later in the evening from your last stop is a safe and enjoyable way to take in the nightlife.

If you have limited time in Barcelona, this tour will cover everything that you should see in this beautiful city. Some of Gaudi's masterpieces are included in this tour - Parc Guell, Sagrada Familia, Casa Batillo, La Pedrera. It also covers the Spanish Village and Olympic Stadium in Montjuic.

The Gaudi portion is really a must see - especially with the skip the lines tickets. The afternoon tour of Montserrat covers the uniquely shaped mountains near Barcelona and the monastery with the Black Madonna. The views from the terrace of the monastery are fabulous.

I highly recommend visiting Montserrat, but I would not suggest booking through this tour company. The only good things about this tour were the comfortable bus used to get there and experiencing Montserrat. In regards to the tour, the guide was horrible. Not only did she provide hardly any historical information, but the little she did say was hardly understandable due to her lack of English. In addition, they provide no water or option for refreshments of any kind for the more than two hour round-trip bus ride. If you're thinking about booking this tour, I suggest you save the money and just buy round trip transportation; at least this way you'll be able to choose how much time you spend in Montserrat, which definitely requires more than the allowance given in this tour. Booking through City-Discovery was great, but the tour didn't live up to the expectations.

We have recommended the tour to relatives who will be in the area. I think the afternoon format was great. PS..why not have your directions read: Look for the guides holding the orange umbrellas. We went to the square the night before to look for umbrellas and find the meeting place.

The tour was great with one exception, our tour guide did not give us enough time to see the Black Madonna. Rather than get up in line early we walked around the shopping area talking about what we could do. It would have been better to get in line and meet up later to talk about shopping ideas. Montserrat is amazing and a must see for anyone regardless of religious belief. The buildings and site is well constructed and blends in with the natural setting.

If you have more than two days in Barcelona, then it is worth going to Montserrat and seeing the lovely view from the mountains. We could have spent more time exploring the top of the mountain though. If less than 2 days I would spend more time on the attractions in Barcelona. The guide did not really guide us, she told us a little bit of information on the bus and then we did not see her again until we got back on the bus. You are really just paying for transport and so you could probably find a cheaper option to do this by yourself.

It was a good tour - Packed the highlights of Park Guell and La Sagrada Familia into a quick few hours. The tour guide was great as well. The only suggestion I might have is to offer a little more free time at each venue. 30 minutes seemed like not quite enough time to explore on our own. Otherwise everything was great.

Our morning tour, with Jorge, was excellent. He is a wonderful and attentive guide. The only part of the morning tour that I disliked was the stop at the end at the Spanish Village Park. It was like a mini version of Epcot and really was a waste of time. As for the afternoon portion of the trip, I would have liked more time in the Guell Park. Actually it would have been better to do that as part of the morning trip when it probably wouldn't have been so crowded. The trip to Sagrada Familia was little more than a drive by and the price of this trip should have included entrance. Our guide, Montserrat, was rude and candesending when responding to some questions. She seemed in a hurry to get the tour over. As the bus whizzed past the Arc de Triomf, she didn't even bother to point it out. My husband had to ask her about it. Afterall, it was a city tour and should have been noted. In conclusion, this was a pricey tour for what we actually got. However, I would recommend it only for a city orientation, which was why we took it at the beginning of our stay in Barcelona.

Would have appreciated a little more time in the Dali Museum. There were two museums and the jewel museum did not take too long too see round. However as we were not advised of this we curtailed the time in the Dali Museum. The guide was very good. Calm, polite and knowledgeable.

Girona is a popular place to see as to why I did the tour there but honestly there is not much to see there at all. The tour guides are very knowledgable but there are only a few nice buildings and really nothing much else to see. You do a walking tour and then they give you 2 hours free time, which i was really bored and just had lunch and browsed through shops. It would have been more worth while to do an extra day in barcelona cause there is alot to see there. The Dali museum though is very interesting. Its very different to other museums so i really liked it and all my friends at home were jealous i went to the museum so im glad i did it. I would recommend this tour but it didnt blow my mind. I would spend your money on going to montserret mountain, now that was amazing!

1. Dali museum should have a tour guide and then allow for free time. 2. Girona extra euro chrge to see the additional site should be included in the price. 3. Tell the Girona Informaton Bureau that their outdoor toilet (porta-potties) at the beginning of the tour are disgusting/dirty and not a great introduction to Girona! Get better, permanent facilities for Men and Women!

Awesome view from the top! I would strongly recommend this tour. I was able to see the Boys Choir sing! Great Experience! Train was good but I wasn't necessary for good views...you can also just take the bus to the top. Do the Montserrat without the train.

We enjoyed the Montserrat with Cog-Wheel Train Tour but unfortunately, we booked the tour in French and to our surprise, it was given in Spanish and Italian. When we mentionned this to the tour guide, she told us that it was impossible and would not listen to our comments. We booked the tour in French because my travel companion is not fluent in English and we ended up paying for a service we did not receive. That was a big deception. Alberto our guide was brilliant and very informative. I feel for the price we paid, we should have had at least another hour at Montserrat. We had to REALLY rush our lunch in order to see the choir sing before RUNNING for the coach at 1.30. We went in February and it was relatively quiet there so we did not have to queue to see the Black Madonna. If it had been a busy day I think we would only have had time to see the Madonna and would have got on the bus very hungry for a long ride back to Barcelona. As a family of 4 we paid over E200 for what turned out to be just about 2 hours there (during which we had to find time to eat!). I think it is not really good value for money at that cost for such a mad rush around. I would appreciate YOUR comments.

This excursion exceeded our expectations. Our small group was expertly lead by Jordi who was as personable as he was knowledgable. The Nuria Valley is beautiful - we picked up gourmet picnic lunches en route in Vic and enjoyed them before our hike. There are several trails from which to choose or one can relax in the ski lodge, visit the chapel or enjoy the scenery by the lake.

I showed up at Julia travel only to discover that I was THE ONLY PERSON going on the tour. Rather than let me cancel and return any of my money, the agency insisted the tour go ahead with just ONE PERSON. Money for petrol, a guide, driver and an entire tour bus was spent on just one person. My positive the money I paid did not cover all this. It just didn't make sense. The guide and driver were lovely people and excellent at their jobs, but a more flexible cancellation policy needs to be put in place for this tour.

I went on my own. Thoroughly enjoyed the trip and Adrian our guide was great. There were only 6 of us in a mini-bus, 3 Urugyan pensioners and one NZ lady,me and Adrian our guide. Great fun and company. However the fact that it was a mini-bus was not mentioned in my paperwork but the mini bus was a pleasant surprise and I would travel in a small group again. Excellent.

I would advise that the tour guide state that you can see the Black Virgin from within the Basilica to save time and allow us to explore more in the alloted time...apart from that it was wonderful and the tour guide was great...
